Friends of Joe Michell School (FJMS) is the volunteer parent organization that supports Joe Michell School students, teachers, staff, and families through fundraising, volunteers, and community events. FJMS is 100% lead and run by volunteers.
If you have a student at JMS, or if you want to make a difference at our school, you are part of FJMS. Membership is free! The purpose of FJMS is to:
- Promote cooperation and goodwill within the school community including parents, guardians, and staff in all matters pertaining to the general welfare of all JMS students
- Promote and engage volunteers in supporting school and community functions
- Fundraise to support school needs not provided by other means
FJMS is a 501(c)(3) charity and donations are tax deductible. Our Taxpayer ID# is 81-3601989. Visit our shop to make a donation!

Community Meetings
We hold public community meetings throughout the school year. Please join us! The agenda may include an update from the Principal, an update on fundraisers and events, and a discussion of school and community needs. We often provide free babysitting (for children ages 3-10) during the meetings. Check out our calendar for specific dates and information.
