ATTENDANCE

Please call the attendance line for absences or tardies at 925-606-4738, then press 2.

The attendance line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Excused Absences and Tardies

The California Department of Education has listed the following reasons for absences and tardies  as excusable*:

  1. Personal illness of student
  2. Death in the immediate family
  3. Court appointment
  4. Students have a doctor/dentist/professional appointment (A professional note from a doctor/dentist/professional needed).
  5. Religious holidays

*Reasons such as  oversleeping, car trouble, traffic, keys getting locked in the car, a parent having an appointment, watching another sibling's parade, etc. does not constitute an Excused Tardy or Absence.

For repetitive attendance issues,  we can help facilitate a plan to have your student in school on time either with the help of our admin or as well as our  CWA.

Clearing Excused ABSENCES:  Parents/guardians whose students have an excused absence please bring in a valid professional note within three days (72 hrs) of the absence. If an absence is not cleared within three days, it is marked unexcused.

TARDY

Children coming late for school must check in at the office before going to class. It is very important for students to arrive at school on time. Classroom activities begin immediately, and a late student not only disrupts the class but also loses out on valuable instructional time.

TARDY POLICY Per Trimester:

  • 3 tardies= Phone Conference with parent/guardian.
  • 4th tardy= 30 minute detention on Wednesday after school.
  • 6th tardy=Phone Conference with parent/guardian.
  • 7th tardy=Administrator's discretion.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the office at 925-606-4738.

EARLY DISMISSAL

Students being picked up during the school day must be signed out through the office. Students will not be released to people other than those appearing on the Student Emergency Card.
